Ashliegh and I have known each other since Jr. High and have been bestfriends for 18 years. We have seen each other through the best and worest times in our lives. When I found out that she was pregnant I was filled with so many emotions as my sister was joining the club of motherhood. When she asked me to help her document this moment in her live I was thrilled. We wanted to explore the sensual side of pregnancy and decided a boudior session best fit that theme. By mixing sensual elements with the sheer excitement of pending motherhood we created this beautifully styled maternity session.

We love Julius, Krystina and Krystina's hair! Seriously! #BigHairDontCare! This sweet love story began the moment Julius walked into Krystina's church in 2009. Neither of them imagined that first look would lead to finding the love of their lives. Although the journey was not always easy for the two, their faith, family and love has seen them though their toughest moments and led up to the night Julius asked Krystina to be his wife. The countdown to their May wedding begins now! 

Passports, check...  Off we went to Riviera Maya, Mexico to spend time with an amazing Bride & Groom and those whom they hold most dear.  A weekend full of emotion, beauty, class, and culture, We thoroughly enjoyed this experience and enjoyed meeting the people we were blessed to come into contact with along the way!  So, with that said, here are a few images we captured during this past weekend...

Seeing as how today is #WeddingWednesday it is only right to post the E-shoot for our final wedding of the year! Erica and Kinon shared their first date at one Birmingham's best steak houses, Michael's Steak House. While milling around after dinner in the lobby of Aloft hotel they realized that they shared a passion for more than fine cuts of beef. Kinon challenged Erica to a game of pool, knowing he would impress her with his skill and knowledge of the game. To his surprise she knew a bit more about the game than she let on. Erica not only won their first pool game but she also won Kinon's heart. This Saturday the two shall become one and we are honored to capture this moment in their lives!

We had the pleasure of shooting this couple's engagement shoot at the place their love story began, the historic Woodrow Hall. This is a classic tale of the wedding planner that falls for the groomsman.  Fathia spotted Eric standing at the alter bearing witness to the nuptials of a close friend. At that moment she knew she was staring at her future husband and as the saying goes…the rest was history. A few years and one handsome son later these two will become one as they make the vow to love, honor and respect one another for the rest of their lives.

The temperature has dropped, colorful pumpkins and maize adorn our front porches and our favorite sweaters and boots are in full rotation. Fall is officially here and now is the perfect time for a fall mini portrait session! 

This year we will offer eight sessions over three days. On November 1st we will host sessions at Tannehill Park. On November 2nd we will host sessions at Ross Bridge. On November 8th we will host our final sessions at Birmingham Botanical Gardens. All sessions are on a first come first serve bases and are reserved with full payment of your invoice.

 We had the pleasure of spending some time with Melodie and Kenyata a few weeks ago for the first part of their engagement session. Although we have known Melodie for 10+ years, it was our first time spending time with her fiancé, Kenyata. We had such a good time milling around the streets of downtown Birmingham. We spent this past Saturday at Lake Purdy with these two and i think we laughed the entire time we were out there! Melodie and Ken are such a special couple and we are so excited to be a part of the best day of their lives this coming October!

We had the pleasure of shooting Russandra and Courtney's wedding a few weeks ago at the Harbert Center in Birmingham, AL. To say this couple is in love and surrounded by people that love and support them is an understatement. Courtney, DJ CDubb, is probably the best DJ in the Birmingham   area (Sorry B Brian) so we knew we were in for a party! Look closely and you might even see...the snake! Enjoy!!

We had the pleasure of meeting this beautiful bride, Danielle, through her sister, Ronita and we immediately hit it off as did our boys!  Danielle and her husband Maricus are clearly in love. Their eyes light up when in each other's presence and their love and support for one another is reflected through the eyes of their three, yes THREE, beautiful boys! This past week I had an amazing opportunity to join forces with a talented group of women who came together for one common purpose, to create.
